  23.     The exact, formal, official specs are published: the book "Kermit,
  24. a file transfer protocol" by Frank da Cruz, Digital Press, 1987, ISBN
  25. 0-932376-88-6. Columbia Univ is a good contact point on supplies. The 
  26. Kermit protocol is a rich one and not something one runs off on a few
  27. pages of dot matrix printing.
  28.     There have been superset additions made to the protocol since
  29. publication and those are held as text files on kermit.columbia.edu. The
  30. list's FAQ is also there and worth reading.
